Complimentary training on all things Mac.

CompNow Training Sessions are a unique offering for anyone interested in learning about their new Mac or iPhone. Our training program comprises both regularly-scheduled and on-demand group sessions. We don't charge for the sessions, and attendees are welcome to bring a guest along. Sessions are conducted in-store on our large displays with our professionally-trained staff. Following the sessions, customers will be supplied detailed, easy-to-read documents outlining all the points covered in the session.

Unless you are needing to troubleshoot issues with your Mac at the session, bringing your computer along is not a requirement. We do, however, recommend bringing your iPhone or iPad if attending our iPhone or iPad training sessions.

Free Training Sessions

Intro to Mac

This session is recommended for all first-time Mac users as the first training session to attend with CompNow. The session provides a basic introduction to your new Mac, great for those switching from PC to Mac. It is recommended that you attend this session before attending the "Mac OS X Features" session.

Mac OS X: Email, Web Browsing, Back-up & more

This session is a detailed run-through of the major features of the latest version of the Mac OS X operating system. From the redesigned Desktop and Finder, to Spaces, Time Machine, Spotlight and Dashboard, and then onto Mail, Address Book, iCal and Safari. It is recommended that you attend the Intro to Mac weekend session before attending this session.

Photos on your Mac

This session covers everything you need to know about connecting your digital camera to your Mac and how to use iPhoto for organising and editing your digital photos, creating beautiful books and calendars, and sharing your photos with your friends.

Movies on your Mac

This session covers connecting your video camera to your Mac and the exciting features within the iMovie and iDVD applications included in the iLife suite on all new Macs. Create hollywood-style home movies in minutes and then make a complete interactive DVD to give to family and friends.

iPod + iTunes

This session is a detailed run-through of the exciting features of the latest iPod range and iTunes software included on all new Macs. Enjoy music, movies, TV shows and podcasts on Macs, PCs and iPods and then learn how easy it is to use the iTunes store.
