Student Notebook Project : School of Media and Communication

REGISTER FOR NOTEBOOK ONLINE

As an enrolled student in a Bachelor of Communication program or the Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) within the School of Media and Communication you are entitled to participate in the Notebook Project. This will allow you to lease a Macbook Pro notebook computer loaded with the professional standard software required throughout your education at RMIT. By hiring an RMIT notebook you will also be able to use RMIT software not only while you are on campus but wherever you may wish to work throughout your studies. The big advantage is that the high cost of software for individuals becomes affordable to you as an RMIT Media and Communication student.

This year the School is located in a new purpose-built building, designed to provide an education that will prepare you for a professional career in the media and communications industries. The Notebook Project is an important feature of this educational environment. It will also allow you to work in class, at home, and anywhere you like, seamlessly.

The building itself is interactive so you will be able to use your computer throughout. The teaching spaces have been designed to enable you to work online, to create new ways of seeing and thinking about the way we learn, and to create communication solutions to applied practical briefs.

Learning spaces have been designed to enable you to explore your abilities to think in new ways, to work in collaboration with your colleagues and to discover new approaches beyond the constraints of the classroom. RMIT is leading the way. You are leading the way!
