Service Authorisation Terms

1.1 | Service Authorisation

A minimum $88.00 quote fee applies for all out of warranty repairs, and any warranty items suffering from liquid damage / spillage or other damage that voids the warranty. I authorise CompNow to carry out at my cost repairs and/or maintenance to the equipment listed on this form, and any other work considered necessary for proper functionality, at the current rates for the parts & labour used. I allow CompNow to run the Device Manufacturer’s  Service Toolkit Diagnostic on my product.

1.2 | Personal Information

Personal information (name, address, phone number & email address) are necessary to proceed with the request for service. Your personal information may be transferred to the Device Manufacturer for the purpose of submitting to you a survey on your satisfaction for this service. This will be treated by them in accordance with Device Manufacturer ‘s Privacy Policy which are displayed on their websites (listed at 1.5). By providing your personal information you consent to this transfer and use by the Device Manufacturer for this purpose.

1.3 | Repair Terms

CompNow will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment, its accessories, software or data howsoever caused. Any claim for faulty workmanship shall be limited solely to the rectification at no charge of the faulty work, no claim for loss consequential or otherwise being admissible. The customer understands that uncollected goods provisions may apply.

Minimum charges apply for all work carried out by CompNow. Credit will only be extended to approved account holders. Proof of warranty MUST be provide to claim warranty credit. Warranty on repairs is 90 days from date of invoice unless otherwise specified. Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods. Repair of the goods may result in loss of the data. The maximum period for which we are able to hold repaired goods or goods left for quotation is 90 days. Please collect your property or advise us in regard to its delivery / collection before this period of time has elapsed. No responsibility will be taken for the delivery / collection of goods left longer than 90 days. Property unclaimed within the period specified will be disposed of in order to free storage space and recover any repair / labour expenses.

1.4 | Courier Terms

CompNow and it’s affiliate transport partners take every reasonable step to ensure safe transit of devices and as such incidents are rare. However, CompNow accepts no liability, including consequential or other loss, for goods damaged or lost in transit, howsoever caused. Customers can contact our service support team on 1300 COMPNOW (266766) should they wish to discuss other options, or elect to arrange their own alternative transport and/or insurance at their own cost should they wish.

All prices on the website include GST unless otherwise specified. All items are included in good faith on the basis that the products, as described, will be available at the time of sale. Failure by a supplier to deliver in accordance with sample, description, image or at all, may result in some product being unavailable.

Whilst every care has been taken to ensure accuracy in this website, we reserve the right to change incorrect prices resulting from a printing, typographical, image or supplier error. Pictures are for illustrative purposes only. Prices are current at the time of publication, however CompNow reserves the right to alter pricing / specifications listed at any time. E&OE

Refund/return policy

  • Due to copyright issues, opened software cannot be returned. Please verify your system requirements prior to opening the packaging.
  • We will offer a credit or exchange (but not a refund) for any unopened goods returned within 14 days of purchase.
  • Goods returned after 14 days of purchase will only be accepted at the company’s discretion & may incur a 10% restocking fee.
  • No refunds except in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

All transactions between you and CompNow (ABN  49 592 886 118) or related entities, are subject to our Terms and Conditions (Terms). You acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Terms available at www.compnow.com.au.  All Goods remain our property until paid in full. The Terms and / or each and every quote, invoice and statement issued by us constitute acceptance of all Terms and are a security agreement for the purposes of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) and create a security interest in all previously supplied, each, every and all future supply of Goods by CompNow to the Customer.

By providing your email address for quotes, queries, orders, events, repairs, competitions, or via a business card, you are agreeing through inferred consent to receive emails from us – from which you may opt out at any time by contacting us to unsubscribe.

We provide a double opt-in system for new subscriptions, and provide a working unsubscribe link in every email newsletter sent.

CompNow occasionally works with third parties to create, enable and present events , meetings, expos, training and other activities. In order to fulfil these activities, your data may be shared with our activity third parties and partners.

Managed Services

Metropolitan area is defined as up to 25km from Adelaide / Brisbane / Melbourne / Perth / Sydney CBD. All hours are standard business hours as shown on our website. Up to 24/7 rates available by agreement. All remote work is charged in 15 minute increments. All on-site work is charged as a minimum of one hour, then in 15 minute increments. For larger custom configuration & installation CompNow can provide a scope of work document. 

Regardless of the system specification, data risk cannot be entirely eliminated. CompNow are not liable for lost data or any resulting business impact that may arise from systems installed or supported by CompNow. Corruption or loss to data can occur on monitored systems even if they appear to report normal backup behaviour and it is highly recommended that regular off-site data snapshots are kept in order to reduce this risk. Verification of a backup via full restoration on a regular basis is the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated in an SOW or MSA provided by CompNow. Any costs associated with data recovery and/or services are not covered unless otherwise stated in an SOW or MSA provided by CompNow. These services, if required, will be charged at the appropriate rates for the level of engineering. It is highly recommended that insurance measures are provided to cover for any business impact that may arise due to data loss and/or data security breaches.
